This piece was inspired by a toad I saw swimming across Silver Lake in Hope, BC. I was drawn to the way light danced across the water’s surface and wanted to emphasize the play of brightness, shadows, and flickers of light. I believe that sometimes the simplest subjects can inspire the most beautiful pieces.
